Mo Badrane's pictures used in this series, show us the day to day events around one of the biggest riots ever to hit Amsterdam around the eviction of a squat in the Vondelstraat back in 1980.
About the photographer Mo Badrane 1931-2011: Born in Casablanca as a single child of a garage owner. Through his job working for Royal Air Maroc he ended up finding love in Amsterdam in 1964. Photography and painting were his big passions the later half of his life, with a very unique style and DIY-attitude.
